Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare application formulations and apply on customer supplied substrates.
- Application of formulated coatings to be performed at lab or pilot scale by spray, gravure, dip/nip, pad bath or similar methods.
- Testing to customer requirements of finished parts for physical properties, color/aesthetics and flammability.
- Work with an interdisciplinary team locally, nationally and globally to support and promote development of Stahl chemistry and capabilities.
- Present and share findings with Technical Sales, Customer, internal R&D and Applications team.
- Organizes and records all pertinent testing information in the laboratory project files as references for future use, and maintains all documents, prints or items generated from projects.
- Maintains a clean, organized, and orderly work area and laboratory space assigned.
- This role is in support of customer trials at our Center of Excellence for N. American automotive customers, so customer interaction and a professional presentation is expected.

- Must be eligible to work in the US.
- Education and/or Experience:
- Position is intended for an individual in active pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Textile Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Plastic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other related sciences.
- Hands on experience including formulation of specialty coatings, color matching, plant processing procedures, quality control test procedures or technical service are preferred.
- Language Skills:
- Effective communication skills are required.
- Mathematical Skills:
- Ability to do basic math and write legibly.
- Computer Skills:
- Basic computer skills are required.
- SAP experience preferred.
- Knowledge of Microsoft office
