About the role

Full-Time, Salary Exempt

Responsibilities

  • Coding and Programming: Develop and maintain Android application features using Kotlin, under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Write clean, well-documented code and participate in code reviews.
  • Write unit tests and help improve test coverage.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot issues in existing code.
  • Contribute ideas and solutions to enhance software functionality.
  • Identify and communicate strategic technology standards, frameworks, principles and roadmaps to be used throughout the company to guide technological decisions and leverage efficiency opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design and ship new features.
  • Work closely with UI/UX designers to implement visually appealing and intuitive user interfaces.
  • Escalate complex or unresolved issues to higher-level team members.
  • Document written code, processes, and procedures to ensure knowledge transfer within the team.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies. Actively participate in professional development activities to enhance technical skills.
  • Perform additional duties and projects as requested.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of programming languages such as Kotlin, C#, Sql. Familiarity with the following: Experience building Android applications with Kotlin in production environments. Experience developing modern Android UI using Jetpack Compose Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle. Experience with version control systems, such as Git. Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, web services, and microservices architecture. Experience with cloud platforms and services, such as AWS or Azure.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of Android programming experience. 1-3 years of triaging, debugging, and monitoring automated tests experience.
