Junior Analyst - BCG Vantage, GenAI / People and Organization
About the role
Boston Consulting Group (BCG) is seeking a Junior Analyst (JA) to join our People & Organization Practice (POP) & Tech and Digital Advantage (TDA) areas. This role involves working on fast-growing topics like (Gen)AI and digital transformation, helping to shape our offerings, and providing expert advisory, analysis, and insights around critical people levers to ensure transformation success.
Responsibilities
- Work with case and proposal teams to provide expert advisory, analysis, and insights around critical people levers to ensure transformation success.
- Support upskilling, marketing efforts, conferences, and publications.
- Collaborate with global topic leads and colleagues across BCG to bring expertise and capabilities to the service of our internal and external clients.
- Contribute to the development of intellectual property and knowledge assets related to (Gen)AI and digital transformation at the intersection of the People & Organization space.
- Work on commercialization efforts in conjunction with business leaders.
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience in a leading consulting or technology firm, being involved in (Gen)AI driven products, transformational initiatives, or workstreams.
- In lieu of consulting experience, 1+ years minimum industry experience required; 1-2+ years of industry experience strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of (Gen)AI market trends, use cases and enabling technology/data/algorithms.
- Advanced degree a plus; Bachelor's Degree required.
- Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, digital transformation narratives, agentic AI platforms, apps, ecosystems, market trends, use cases and enabling technologies / data / algorithms.
- Familiarity with software development projects, particularly those using Agile methodologies, is beneficial to understand the complexity of technological development and adoption.
- Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
- Programming experience (e.g., Python, SQL) not required but beneficial.
- Fluency in English; additional language/s will be a plus.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders while working in a global collaborative team environment.

Pay
The base salary for this role in Boston & Chicago is $76,000. BCG regularly reviews its ranges to ensure market competitiveness. In addition to your base salary, your total compensation will include a bonus of up to 16% and a generous retirement contribution that starts at 5% and moves to 10% after 2 years.
