As a Junior Account Manager plays a vital role in supporting and maintaining customer relationships built on trust, clear communication, and professionalism.

What is the Role?

  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, handling customer communication ensuring professional and effective phone and email correspondence.
  • Prepare and submit high-accuracy customer quotes for chemicals and parts, consistently meeting turnaround deadlines.
  • Create and manage customer sales orders in the ERP system to support an efficient quote-to-order process.
  • Maintain order shipping status providing timely updates to customers.
  • Finalize end-of-day customer sales order shipping and receiving to ensure order fulfillment.
  • Proactively engage with customers regarding re-order schedules, outstanding quotes, and order follow-ups.
  • Analyze sales and customer order reports to identify declining sales, customer ordering trends, and opportunities to streamline ordering efficiency.
  • Build strong customer relationships fostering loyalty, confidence, and ongoing repeat order engagement.
  • Facilitate claims with freight brokers regarding damaged & missing shipments.
  • Facilitate customer warranty and freight claims as they arise.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Education: HS Diploma/GED required. Associate degree or equivalent preferred. 1-3 years of Customer Service or Account Management oriented in a manufacturing or relatable field is preferred.
  • Possess strong computer and data entry skills with Microsoft Office Suite experience.
  • Highly organized with a high level of multi-tasking abilities.
  • Detail-oriented, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Able to work efficiently both independently and in a collaborative team environment.
  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills while maintaining a positive, professional demeanor.
  • Able to perform basic mathematical functions.

Physical Demands

  • The role requires the ability to: Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Work in a moderate noise environment.
