About the role

The June Program is a 3-week summer program serving students in grades K-6 at the Campus School of Smith College. It runs from June 7 – 25, Monday – Friday, from 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise a group of students.
  • Create programming, provide instruction, manage equipment, supplies and program spaces.
  • Provide student support when needed, maintain and report daily attendance, arrival and dismissal.
  • Direct support staff.
  • Uphold and support program protocol, policies and procedures.
  • Report to the program coordinator.

Requirements

  • Positions include work with Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th grades.
  • Prior experience working with children in active environments including camps or schools preferred.

Qualifications

  • Hourly Rate Range: $17 - $21 per hour.
  • Hours per week: 30– 35.
  • Start Date: June 5 / End Date: June 25.

Skills

  • Ability to manage and supervise a group of students.
  • Experience in creating and providing programming, instruction, and support.
  • Knowledge of and adherence to program protocols, policies, and procedures.

Benefits

The program follows all COVID-19 protocol, policies, and procedures as directed by the CDC, Massachusetts DESE, state and local guidance, and Smith College CIRT. Staff will participate in weekly COVID-19 testing as directed by CIRT.

Pay

  • Hourly Rate Range: $17 - $21 per hour.

Schedule

  • Hours per week: 30– 35.
  • Start Date: June 5 / End Date: June 25.
