About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Estimator for our Building Group at our Pittsburgh office.
Responsibilities
- Perform documentation review and quantity take-offs.
- Research material, labor, and equipment pricing.
- Participate in gathering data to support market condition research, including construction market trends, current projects, contractor availability, skill sets, labor force, and other aspects of construction cost and performance.
- Calculate researched data into specific cost estimating software programs.
- Develop trade-specific scopes of work for projects to align with project documentation and investigation.
- Lead and/or support the estimating team with cost and trade scope analysis in a clear, understandable format.
- Respond to inquiries or issues from clients, regulatory agencies, or members of the business and general community.
Requirements
- Ability to read project drawings and interpret specifications.
- Minimum of 4-6 years estimating or operations experience on construction projects ranging up to $200 million.
- Experience performing quantity take-offs.
- Experience leading or supporting a project estimating team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project, OST, MC2, Planswift, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Knowledge of the Pittsburgh market preferred but not required.
- Relevant experience in new construction and/or renovations of commercial office, healthcare, multi-unit residential, higher education, and retail buildings.
