Objective

The Jr. Universal Banker assists Universal Bankers (UBs) in conducting cash vault transactions and provides sales and servicing of all bank products and services. This role involves working with UBs to develop new business, maintain customer relationships, and provide operational support and exceptional customer service.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Greets customers and directs incoming calls to appropriate staff.
• Accurately processes transactions and new account openings in a timely and professional manner.
• Assesses and handles retail customers' banking needs and obtains and processes customer/account information, including cash handling.
• Aids in opening and servicing accounts and identifies cross-selling opportunities for new and existing customers.
• Aids UBs in calling on potential or existing customers to promote bank services and products, aiming to expand relationships and bank profitability.
• Displays exceptional customer service and sales skills and maintains a professional attitude.
• Maintains accuracy and compliance in all account documentation.
• Minimizes risks of losses, including cash differences and other controllable losses.
• Maintains current knowledge of all Federal and State laws and regulations, along with the Bank’s policies and procedures.
• Processes teller transactions in an accurate and timely manner (e.g., deposits, withdrawals, payments, transfers, check cashing, negotiable purchasing, etc.).
