SimVentions is 100% employee-owned and ranked among Virginia’s Best Places to Work. We are seeking a junior to mid-level software developer for the Machine Learning Operations (MLOps) project.
About the role
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Artificial Intelligence (AI) / Machine Learning (ML) and large language models (LLMs) with some software development experience. An interim Secret Clearance is required; applicants must be U.S. citizens eligible for a security clearance. Minimal CONUS and local travel is required.
Responsibilities
- Work within the current development environment and toolsets to expand and enhance automation capabilities within the MLOps ecosystem.
- Automate model training processes to allow efficient repeatability.
- Utilize data and model requirements to design architecture to scale.
- Inject configuration management of data sources and model output.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with software development languages like Go, Python, JavaScript, and Vue.js.
- Understanding of data storage and retrieval using databases, S3 storage containers, and/or VAST storage environments.
- Entry/foundational knowledge of ML concepts, intelligent automation capabilities, and the ML model lifecycle (training, validation, deployment, monitoring).
- Understanding of CPU and GPU utilization for Machine Learning and model training.
- Experience integrating both commercial and internally developed toolsets using SDKs and APIs.
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with Docker and containerized applications.
- Familiarity with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and common SQL and Graph database interactions.
Pay
The projected annual compensation range for this position is $79,000 - $109,760 (USD).
