Full-time/Permanent position located in Hollywood, MD. Start date: Immediate.
Schedule
Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM Monday through Thursday, and 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM Friday. Overtime, weekends, and other shifts may be required.
Responsibilities
- Perform different weld methods based on project requirements.
- Read and interpret project plans, blueprints, and other written instructions and diagrams to perform tasks.
- Create fixturing for production welding environments.
Qualifications
- Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
- High School Diploma or GED and 1+ years of experience as a commercial/aerospace welder.
- Current and valid welding certification(s) a plus; possession of current AWS D17.1 certification (aluminum, carbon steel, or stainless steel) required.
- Good knowledge and understanding of heat applications and heat absorbents during welding operations to prevent warpage of parts.
- General knowledge of shop practices including layout, drilling, sawing, grinding, etc.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs on a daily basis.
- Must wear approved PPE (personal protective equipment).
- Must be able to work overtime, weekends, and other shifts as required.
Skills
- AutoCAD for schematics and drawings.
- OrCAD (preferred) or similar EDA tools
