Jr. Software Development Engineer - Seattle/Bellevue, WA, Jr. Developer Program
About the role
The Jr. Developer Program (JDP) is a year-round internship designed to support a strong balance between work and school. Students will receive 1:1 mentorship from a full-time Amazonian for the entire duration of their program. The program offers flexible part-time schedules during the school year and full-time employment during the summer, allowing students to succeed both academically and professionally.
Responsibilities
- Write real software and collaborate with experienced engineers.
- Contribute to impactful deliverables that help solve complex technical challenges at Amazon.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university Bachelor's or Master's degree program.
- Majoring in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related STEM fields.
- Able to work year-round until graduation (part-time during the school year and full-time during the summer).
- Able to work in person year-round at the Seattle or Bellevue corporate office.
- Able to start work in September 2026.
- Living within commutable distance to Seattle/Bellevue, WA.
- Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, Python, or C++ including object-oriented design.
Qualifications
- Graduating June 2028 and beyond.
- Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions.
- Ability to solve complex problems and work through ambiguity.
