Jr. Heavy Equipment Operator

Essential Functions

• Excavation Site Work
• Demolition Building Take-Down
• Water, Sewer, and Utility Work
• Willing to get out of seat and help crews as needed
• Maintaining focus on SAFETY at all times
• Cleaning and maintaining equipment, including basic repairs
• Tracking scheduled maintenance and notifying supervisors if past due
• Filling out performance records to track equipment use and report problems

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of excavation experience required
• OSHA 10 or higher construction training preferred
• Hoisting 2A and 1C Licenses preferred

Working Environment/Physical Demands

• Work may be performed under extreme weather conditions including hot and cold ambient temperatures
• Must be able to perform tasks that involve bending, lifting, walking, carrying, and using a force equal to lifting 50 to 100 pounds

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required
• Safe driving record as measured by company policy
• Current DOT medical card required or able to obtain within 30 days of hire
• Pass a physical examination by medical professional for the anticipated work requirements
• Pass a background check
