Jr. Detailer
About the role
Aristeo is seeking an Entry-Level Jr. Detailer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have basic drafting or CAD training and be eager to gain hands-on experience in the steel construction industry.
Responsibilities
- Assist with preparing and updating shop drawings based on contract documents
- Learn to read and interpret construction drawings for structural and miscellaneous steel
- Help check drawings for accuracy and completeness before they are sent for approval or fabrication
- Enter and maintain drawing updates in our project files
- Support coordination between detailing, fabrication, and field teams
- Participate in training to learn company and industry detailing standards
- Perform basic measuring and data collection tasks during site visits (with supervision)
- Carry out other entry-level duties as assigned to support the Project Manager and subcontractors
Requirements
No prior steel detailing experience required — we will train the right candidate. Basic understanding of drafting principles; construction knowledge is a plus, but not required. Familiarity with CAD software (AutoCAD, SDS/2, or Tekla) is a plus, but not required — training provided. Strong attention to detail, a positive “can-do” attitude, and an eagerness to learn. Good communication and teamwork skills. Experience with 2-4 year college degree required. Coursework in drafting, engineering, or related field preferred, but not required.
