Jr. Data Scientist

Responsibilities

The Jr. Data Scientist will develop analytic products and services using data science techniques in support of the OSW Cost Assessment and Program Evaluation (CAPE) Defense Analyst Support Hub (DASH). The analyst will function as a part of the DASH Data Science team and support the team in completing statistical analysis, creating data visualizations, and developing analysis summary products for CAPE Study leads.

Qualifications

• Required: Active Secret clearance with the ability to secure TS/SCI. Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, operations research, computer science, data science, or other Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) disciplines.
• Familiarity with statistical modeling, exploratory data analysis, and other data science methods.
• Programming competency in R, Python, or other languages suitable for managing and analyzing large datasets.
• Able to work fully onsite based on client needs.

Desired

• Master’s degree in mathematics, operations research, computer science, or other applicable Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines.
• 1+ years of hands-on experience with data science techniques and/or data driven/analytics; areas of relevant experience include statistics, mathematics, database engineering, machine learning, and visualization.
• Operational experience in a military service or DoW environment.
• Able to work effectively as part of an integrated team.
• Adept at interfacing with clients.

Salary range: USD $85,000.00/Yr. - USD $105,000.00/Yr.
