Journeyman Service Electrician

About the role

Wachter is accepting applications for a Traveling licensed Journeyman Electrician for service work in various commercial and industrial environments. We are looking for self-motivated and reliable technicians with experience as an Industrial and Commercial Electrician who can travel and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and test electrical components to diagnose problems, repair broken electrical components, and install updates for outdated electrical systems
• Troubleshoot electrical problems and install new wiring or other components to fix lighting, fuse boxes, and generators
• Conduct tests to ensure all newly installed electrical systems and component devices are operational
• Ensure electrical systems meet local, county, state, or federal codes; legal and/or insurance requirements
• Adhere to all required project safety requirements as set forth by Wachter, our customers, or OSHA
• Perform any other duties not specifically stated herein, but which your supervisor may assign

Requirements

• Experience as a Commercial and/or Industrial Electrician
• Available for travel in your state and surrounding states as needed per the job
• Flexible and willing to work on-call, day, night, or weekend shifts as the job requires
• Able to work overtime as needed
• Dependable - must show up to work on time daily
• Has basic hand tools and PPE
• Safety conscious, follow all applicable PPE guidelines
• Self-motivated, career-minded, looking for a place with advancement opportunities
• Outstanding troubleshooting skills
• Excellent customer relationship and communication skills; verbal and written
• Strong attention to detail
• Certified to operate a BOOM or scissor lift, and able to work at heights
• Able to pass drug and background screening
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; no DUI or DWI in the last three years
