About the role
Ideal Mechanical/Pieper Power is seeking an experienced Journeyman Residential HVAC Technician to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair residential HVAC systems (furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, etc.)
- Perform system replacements and new installations according to code
- Conduct maintenance services and system performance checks
- Communicate clearly with customers about system issues and solutions
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation
- Follow safety protocols and company procedures
Requirements
- Valid Journeyman HVAC license (State of WI)
- Be a member in good standing or willing to join the union
- 3–5+ years of residential HVAC experience
- Proficiency in diagnostics, installation, and system troubleshooting
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in crawlspaces, attics, and outdoor environments
