Journeyman Pressman – Chattanooga Manufacturing Shift: Rotating Nights - 7pm to 7am
Essential Duties And Responsibilities Include The Following
- Affix to the 1stPressperson in the operation of the Offset Press.
- Including but not limited to performing all safety and quality checks.
- Responsible for the operation of the press feed section.
- Responsible for prepping press for next production run; sheets, plates, ink, etc.
- Must assist the 1stPressperson in meeting safety, quality, and production standards.
- Must be able to take over the 1stPressperson’s duties during absences.
- Affix in training other press personnel.
- Responsible for the overall Safety and cleanliness of equipment and area.
- Work in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Overtime is required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED minimum.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. May require the ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- May require the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Minimum of 5 years Offset experience as a first or second pressperson or the equivalent is required.
- The ability to react quickly and make continuous adjustments to provide top quality products.
- Normal vision is required; must be able to pass a colorblind test.
