Journeyman Plumber

About the role

Rapid City, SD-based Warne Plumbing and Heating, LLC is seeking a Journeyman Plumber to join their team in Watertown, SD. The ideal candidate will have mechanical knowledge and skills, the ability to work in diverse environments, and be dependable and organized.

Responsibilities

• Complete all work in accordance with federal, state, and local codes
• Prepare, fabricate, and install plumbing and piping systems
• Read and understand blueprints
• Repair and install various pipes including iron, steel, copper, PVC, and cast iron
• Determine the proper tools and equipment necessary for job completion
• Operate power tools and equipment
• Maintain tools and equipment in proper working order
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements and skills

• Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program (Preferred)
• Journeyman Plumber license/certification (Required within 120 days of employment)
• Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, regulations, and safety procedures (Preferred)
• Strong mechanical skills (Preferred)
• Able to learn and operate various power tools and heavy equipment (Required)
• Able to legally work in the United States (Required)
• Valid driver’s license (Required)
• Able to follow instructions (Required)
• Able to work independently and as a team (Required)
• Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting between 75 – 100 pounds, standing for extended periods, climbing, and working in confined spaces among other manual labor duties as assigned (Required)

Pay

$20-$30 per hour DOE

Schedule
