Journeyman Mechanic

About the role

Responsible for maintaining and repairing vehicles in a fleet management setting. Conduct diagnostic tests, perform routine maintenance, and address mechanical issues.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicle malfunctions using diagnostic tools and manuals.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake checks.
• Communicate with fleet managers and drivers regarding vehicle status and maintenance needs.
• Follow safety protocols and adhere to environmental regulations during all work activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• At least 2 years of relevant automotive repair experience.
• Knowledge of automotive systems and components.

Qualifications

• Proficient in using hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
