Journeyman Mechanic (2nd shift)

About The Role Under limited supervision, performs all necessary tasks in the repair and maintenance of Sulzer Pumps’ and all other manufacturers’ pumping equipment while strictly adhering to customer, OEM and industry standard specifications. Follows department policy and procedures manual. Job Responsibilities Assembling all types of pump equipment to customers, OEM and industry standard specificationsDisassembling equipment to gain access remove, clean and inspect componentsInspecting & recording component measurements using instruments, tools and gages and providing inspection reportInvestigating and determining root cause failureDetermining proper materials for repairs as per BOMContouring impellers and pump casings to meet hydraulic requirementsSetting and operating dynamic balancing equipmentPerforming final testing and inspections Qualifications Minimum five (5) years of pump repair experienceAnalytical and interpersonal skillsAttention to detailExtensive knowledge of and ability to use hand tools, precision measuring and testing equipment and machine shop equipmentPump repair experience preferredAbility to work with limited supervisionAbility to travel to and work at customer sitesAbility to work overtime What we offer you 15 days of paid time off and 12 company-paid holidays401k plan with a 6% matchComprehensive health plan including medical, dental, vision, Life, short-term & long-term disabilityHealth savings account matchingMotivating wellness programEmployee Assistance ProgramPaid parental leaveGym reimbursement Sulzer is an equal opportunity employer.
