About the role

Candidates must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule that includes days, evenings, and weekends to accommodate Entergy's around-the-clock business needs.

Responsibilities

• Install and remove electric meters, services, and related equipment on customers' premises.
• Connect and disconnect services at the pole.
• Locate and repair all types of breaks in the electric transmission and distribution systems.
• Answer electric trouble calls to customers' premises.
• Perform tasks such as tracing and clearing grounds and opens on series circuits, testing, switching, and inspecting automatic voltage regulating devices, making routine checks and tests on relays and other equipment, conducting voltage, load, substation, electrolysis, ground, and other special tests, performing insulation tests on potheads, transformers, cables, bushings, etc., and conducting routine inspections and maintenance on substation network protectors, transformers, regulators, switching, control, and related equipment.
• Refuse all classes of high voltage substations and line fuses.
• Make routine checks, inspections, maintenance, and tests of substation network protectors, transformers, regulators, switching, control, and related equipment.
