Journeyman Electrician

Location: Minnesota / Twin Cities Metro • Work Setting: Residential / Field-Based • Start Date: ASAP

About The Position

Our client is seeking Minnesota-licensed Journeyman Electricians to lead two-person crews installing permanent lighting systems on residential properties. This is a residential-focused role rather than commercial construction. Electricians will typically work on clean residential properties, lead a dedicated helper, complete installations, troubleshoot issues in the field, and maintain a professional standard when working with homeowners.

Responsibilities

• Lead a two-person installation crew consisting of yourself and a dedicated helper.
• Install permanent lighting systems on residential homes.
• Work safely on ladders, rooflines, and elevated areas.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical or installation issues in the field.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
• Ensure installations meet company quality and safety standards.
• Communicate professionally with homeowners.
• Work independently while effectively directing and supporting a helper.
• Follow established installation procedures and safety guidelines.

Requirements

• Current Minnesota Journeyman Electrician license.
• Reliable transportation; pickup truck preferred for transporting ladders and equipment.
• Basic hand tools.
• Comfortable working on ladders and at heights.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.
• Ability to work independently and lead a helper.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable attendance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Residential electrical experience.
• Exterior lighting installation experience.
• Experience leading or supervising a small crew.
• Troubleshooting experience in residential electrical applications.

Permanent lighting experience is not required. Training will be provided on the client’s installation systems and processes.

Schedule

• Full-time, field-based position.
