Job Summary
The Journeyman Electrician plays a crucial role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. This role involves wiring, troubleshooting, and ensuring that solar energy systems operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with electrical codes and industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Install solar electrical systems.
- Procure all materials necessary for the timely completion of assigned projects.
- Maintain a weekly schedule and report progress throughout the week.
- Verify the quality and operability of installed systems.
- Ensure all assigned projects are installed according to all applicable codes.
- Test electrical equipment or systems to ensure proper functionality.
- Interpret blueprints, specifications, or diagrams to inform installation, development, or operation activities.
- Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
- Troubleshoot issues and adjust equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- An Arkansas Journeyman Electrician license.
- Minimum of five years of electrical trade experience and one year of foreman experience preferred.
- Reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and an insurable driving record.
