Position Responsibilities
- Utilize hand tools and testing instruments effectively.
- Inspect and test lighting, power, communication, and signal circuits and equipment.
- Identify wiring and equipment malfunctions using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, and test lamps.
- Replace defective switches, outlets, and other electrical system components with precision.
- Disassemble and repair electrical machinery, including gears, brushes, and armatures.
- Install motors, transformers, and lighting fixtures in accordance with specifications and wiring requirements.
- Follow all established safety procedures and regulations at all times.
- Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with local codes and safety standards.
- Estimate time and materials required for electrical projects.
- Request necessary parts and materials to complete assignments.
- Perform a variety of non-routine tasks independently, adjusting methods and tools as required.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues, seeking assistance when necessary.
- Assist in training and mentoring less experienced team members as needed.
What Makes You a Strong Candidate
- A minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience or a licensed Journeyman ready to take the next step in their career.
What You Will Need to Succeed
- Hands-on experience with electrical and electronic controls (PLC, drives, temperature/pressure sensors, etc.), including wiring, setup, and programming.
- Solid working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
