Journeyman Electrician

About the role

Loenbro is looking for Journeyman Electricians in the Nashville, TN area. This is a project position for candidates who have a passion for safety, are initiative-takers, and have experience in a heavy commercial and industrial environment. The Journeyman Electrician will work independently or as part of a team responsible for the installation, start-up, troubleshooting, commissioning, and servicing of industrial equipment and systems.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand overview drawings, one-line drawings, and electrical schematics.
• Layout conduit, cable tray, and overall jobsite installations.
• Work with and train apprentices on the job.
• Serve existing accounts by analyzing work orders; planning daily travel schedule; investigating complaints; conducting tests; resolving problems.

Requirements

• Minimum Journeyman skill level experience in commercial or industrial electrical systems.
• Must be dependable, hardworking, and willing to put in the hours needed.
• Must be willing to submit to pre-employment screening, including criminal background check and drug screen.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Preferred Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Basic computer knowledge.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Outside most of the time.
• Potential exposure to extreme cold and hot temperatures.
• Limited working surfaces.
• Exposure to noise above 85 decibels and intense odors.
• Exposure to areas with limited visibility.
• Climbing up and down stairs and ladders to access trenches and elevated platforms (scaffolding at significant heights).
• Lifting necessary equipment and materials (1-50 pounds, 50% of the time monthly for required tasks).
• If driving is required, a valid driver’s license and proof of insurability are required; all drivers are subject to a DMV background records search.
• Compliance with all applicable safety regulations, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and Loenbro's Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) policies.
