Journeyman, Electrician

Responsibilities

• Perform technical or electrical work to troubleshoot, repair, and modify equipment, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
• Check equipment regularly to ensure normal operating activity
• Cookordinate with outside sources to schedule maintenance for more complex issues
• Track and document repairs
• Perform regular preventative maintenance
• Maintain a safe work environment
• Monitor data from measuring devices
• Work in a clean room and climate-controlled environment
• Complete additional projects as assigned (e.g., wiring new sensors, gathering materials, sizing wire)
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting, climbing ladders, and assembling large and small part assemblies and components
• Fill in for other technicians as needed
• Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards
• Follow LGESMI existing cleaning SOP’s during downtime (e.g., line stop, waiting time, etc.), which includes cleaning your designated machine and/or surrounding work area
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED required; a vocational certificate or associate degree preferred or equivalent, relevant experience
• A journeyman license preferred
• Experience: Pneumatic and hydraulics experience, 3 to 5+ years of experience preferred
• Manufacturing experience preferred
