Journeyman Electrician

Haco Electric Co., Inc. is a family-owned electrical contractor serving residential, commercial, industrial, agricultural, and service clients throughout Nebraska. The company provides electrical construction, renovations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and service work from locations in Lincoln and Auburn, Nebraska, emphasizing quality workmanship, safety, and long-term customer relationships.

Responsibilities

• Electrical construction, renovations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and service work
• Work on commercial, residential, industrial, and agricultural projects
• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings
• Apply electrical installation methods, materials, and equipment
• Perform electrical trade calculations and troubleshooting
• Follow NEC, local electrical codes, and OSHA safety standards
• Work safely and independently in the field

Requirements

• Nebraska State Journeyman Electrician License (or qualifying reciprocal license)
• 1–5+ years of electrical construction experience
• Strong knowledge of NEC, local electrical codes, and OSHA safety regulations
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings
• Experience with electrical installation methods, materials, and equipment
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication skills
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to pass pre-employment screening
• Ability to work safely and independently in the field

Preferred Qualifications

• Commercial electrical construction experience
• Foreman or job-running experience
• Leadership experience supervising crews
• Experience coordinating projects and schedules
• Advanced troubleshooting skills
• Experience training apprentices
• Large-scale commercial or industrial project experience
• Strong customer-facing communication skills

Pay

$35.00 – $43.00 per hour, with additional earnings potential through a performance incentive program and potential for higher compensation based on Foreman/job-running experience. Includes company vehicle with gas card and tool allowance.
