About the role

The Journeyman Electrician is a mid-level field position for someone with solid hands-on experience and the drive to keep growing. You'll work as part of a crew under the direction of a Foreman or Sub-Foreman on commercial and industrial job sites across WNY, executing installations, reading blueprints, and contributing to project quality and productivity every day.

Responsibilities

  • Install conduit systems (EMT, rigid, PVC), MC cable, wire, panels, devices, and equipment per NEC and project specifications
  • Pull and terminate wire and cable including THHN, MC cable, and low voltage as directed
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders with minimal supervision
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and conduit benders safely and correctly
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues in the field and communicate findings to the Foreman
  • Support apprentices on proper installation techniques and safety practices
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site at all times

Requirements

  • 2 years of commercial and/or industrial electrical field experience
  • Working knowledge of NEC and local electrical codes
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, conduit benders, and test equipment
  • NY State Journeyman Electrician License preferred; active apprenticeship considered
  • OSHA 10 required within 90 days of hire; OSHA 30 a plus
  • Reliable, professional, and team-oriented with a strong commitment to quality and safety
