Key Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, and control equipment according to codes and specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical documents to determine the layout of electrical systems.
- Inspect electrical components, identify hazards, and perform preventive maintenance.
- Collaborate with other trades and team members to complete projects efficiently.
- Provide clear documentation of work performed and maintain accurate records.
Qualifications
- Valid journeyman electrician license or certification (preferred).
- Ability to read and install electrical systems from engineering drawings, blue-prints etc.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in electrical work.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and safety protocols.
- Ability to use hand and power tools relevant to the trade.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs. and work in confined spaces or at heights.
- Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to job sites.
- Must pass a background and drug screening.
Working Conditions
Journeyman Electrician typically work in a variety of settings, including construction sites, homes, and businesses. The position may require travel to different job locations and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
