About the role

This position is part of a multi-skilled team working in Central Maintenance performing a variety of Capital and Maintenance work to promote maximum up-time. You will help support the strengthening of collaboration between maintenance, reliability, plant engineering, energy management, and operations. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all work in compliance with safety, environmental, quality, and cGMP/GMP guidelines while maintaining required training, documentation accuracy (SAP/PM), and housekeeping standards.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems and equipment; perform preventive maintenance; and update/maintain electrical schematics, prints, and low/medium voltage breaker maintenance.
  • Support weekly maintenance schedules, respond to reactive work, and assist engineering and capital projects from concept through qualification.
  • Identify and support continuous improvement opportunities to enhance safety, productivity, cost efficiency, and customer service.
  • Train new employees and transfer technical knowledge to peers while demonstrating strong communication skills.
  • Ensure timely reporting of deviations, quality concerns, or product risks and follow all written procedures and documentation practices.
  • Demonstrate full adherence to site and craft safety practices, actively participate in safety initiatives, and identify safety improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain schedule flexibility to meet business needs and uphold high standards of professionalism, compliance, and teamwork.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; must complete required ITP training.
  • 3-5 years of industrial electrical experience preferred, plus strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team while providing a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Skilled in reading and redlining electrical schematics and understanding the National Electrical Code (NEC).
  • Experience with lighting, heat trace, production equipment, motors, motor controls, power distribution, and fiber optic system installation.
  • Strong computer skills and excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Multi-skilled with other crafts; prior departmental or industrial workplace experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work safely and effectively in an industrial environment.
