About the role
The Refrigeration Service Technician performs journeyman-level work in the maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of refrigeration electrical, mechanical, and microprocessor control systems commonly installed in supermarkets, including single systems, parallel racks systems, display cases, and walk-in boxes. The role involves prescribed routine maintenance, leak detection procedures, and service calls to ensure 100% customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Provide knowledgeable and courteous repair service.
- Maintain high-quality customer service and care.
- Perform timely and quality repairs.
- Provide detailed notes and pictures for all dispatches assigned.
- Follow company policy on all check-in and check-out procedures with customers.
- Keep a clean, organized truck.
- Travel as required for service calls.
- Perform other duties as required, including working in other departments.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- EPA Certification (Required).
- 5+ years of supermarket refrigeration/freezer experience.
- Experience with Novar, CPC, Danfoss Energy Management Controls, and Rack Refrigeration.
- Valid state driver’s license.
- Flexibility to work variable and flexible hours, including overtime.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
