Animal Clinic of Monett is a mixed animal Veterinary Practice, looking for a laborer to assist at the Joplin Regional Stockyards. We provide the highest level of veterinary medicine along with friendly, compassionate service. We believe in treating every patient as if they were our own pet and giving them the same loving attention and care. Our Joplin Regional Stockyards team is highly experienced and devoted to providing the highest quality care to the cattle they treat. This is a part-time position. Regular sale days are Monday's and Wednesday's, and occasionally there will be a special sale on a Tuesday or Thursday. Responsibilities include but are not limited to Animal restraint and handlingAssist veterinary staff offering physical support and handling as necessary Administering Injections and Deworming medicationsCollection of lab samplesEffective communication between team mates and doctorsAdhere to all safety guidelines and procedures while performing duties to ensure a safe and secure environment for yourself and othersAbility to assist in receiving and sorting cattle and ensuring proper identification and placementCommunicate to veterinary staff if you notice any signs of illness or distressAssist with maintaining cleanliness and organization of the stockyard facilities, including waste management and equipment storageEntering data into the stockyards computer system.
