About the Role

Hawaiian Building Maintenance is seeking skilled and dedicated maintenance and custodial professionals to join our team on Maui. We are a team built on respect, growth, and shared responsibility, supporting Hawai'i's buildings and communities through janitorial services, mechanical engineering, HVAC, maintenance, and restoration services.

Open Positions

• Site Maintenance Technician – Full-time, $21.00/hour, Monday–Friday 6:00 AM–2:30 PM (40 hours/week)
• Maintenance Technician Floater – Full-time, $24.00–$26.00/hour, schedule varies, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM (40 hours/week), floats to different buildings on Maui
• Mobile Workforce Technician 1 – Full-time, $18.00/hour, 4:00 AM–12:30 PM (40 hours/week)
• Custodial Floater – Part-time, $16.00/hour, Monday–Friday 5:00 PM–8:00 PM (15 hours/week)

Qualifications & Skills

For all positions:

• Must pass HBM prescreen check
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Must have a valid Hawaii driver's license and a reliable vehicle
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English
• Good public relations skills and communication
• Customer service oriented
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to perform basic manual labor, clean common areas, frequently lift/press/push/pull/carry a minimum of 50 lbs (up to 75 lbs for maintenance roles; for custodial roles: frequently lift 40 lbs, carry minimum of 25 lbs up to 50 lbs)
• Ability to reach overhead, grasp objects, bend, kneel, crawl, squat, climb, stretch, walk, walk up and down stairs, climb up/down a ladder, and stand throughout shift

Additional for maintenance positions (Site Maintenance Technician, Maintenance Technician Floater, Mobile Workforce Technician 1):

• General preventative maintenance experience required (basic commercial plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and drywall)
• Troubleshooting abilities
• Mechanical aptitude
• Must have basic hand tools
• Ability to work a flexible schedule

Additional for custodial positions (Custodial Floater):

• Previous janitorial, custodian, or related experience preferred (willing to train)
