About the Keepsake Tokens

Facile Futures has partnered with Campbell’s Creations—a local mother-daughter owned business in Stratford, Ont.—to offer hand-made keepsake tokens for Mother’s Day. These laser-cut, wooden tokens are shaped like a heart with a bow and are designed to honour the strengths and gifts of mothers in our community who provide love and care. Inspired by Bruce Anderson and the Core Gifts Institute’s concept of Core Gifts, each token celebrates the unique gifts of every individual.

Each token includes a customizable backing card that highlights the personal gifts of the mothers in your life.

Historical Role of Parents in the Inclusion Movement

Parent networks began growing during the 1930s and 1960s, evolving into national organizations by the 1970s. Examples include March of Dimes, Easter Seals, and Associations for Community Living, founded by families advocating for improved quality of life and personal rights for people with disabilities and their families.

Mothers, in particular, have played a pivotal role in the parent movement. During the 1950s, women who had children with disabilities organized around kitchen tables, protested in their neighbourhoods and schools, lobbied governments, and went to court to defend their children’s rights. Today, parents continue to advocate for inclusion and equal rights for their loved ones with disabilities.

Impact of Your Donation

Parents and caregivers often help their loved ones with disabilities make informed choices, navigate services, and ensure their voices are heard. Facilitators assist by helping individuals express their wishes and supporting caregivers in navigating complex systems, advocating for needed supports, and planning for the future.

However, planning and facilitation services are underfunded in Ontario, creating financial barriers for families. Proceeds from this fundraiser will directly support access to Facile Futures’ services for parents, caregivers, and family networks on the waitlist. By purchasing a token, you help build lives rooted in belonging and community.

Pricing and Ordering

Keepsake tokens are available for $20 each or three for $50. To purchase, complete the online order form. After submission, you will receive an email with an order number and payment instructions via e-transfer. Orders will be processed for shipping or delivery once payment is completed.

Delivery Options

• Free Delivery: Available for addresses within Huron and Perth counties. Orders will be delivered by a Facile Futures team member on or before May 10th, 2026.
• Regular Mail: Additional charge of $3. Delivery times are not guaranteed.
• Two-Day Express: Additional charge of $21.95. Includes tracked shipping anywhere in Ontario.

Orders shipped via Canada Post will be processed within two business days.
