About the role

Applications are invited for the position of Teaching Fellow in Religious Studies in the School of Divinity. The successful candidate will provide teaching to cover research leave in the Religious Studies Subject Area, design and deliver course materials, and assess student performance. Expertise in Jewish Studies and relevant historical and cultural studies methods is required.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver course materials in Religious Studies
• Assess student performance at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
• Contribute to the knowledge exchange and impact profile of the School through professional development, funding bids, and events for external audiences

Requirements

• PhD in Jewish Studies or equivalent (must have submitted before taking up the appointment)
• Demonstrated good teaching ability at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
• Proven record of publications in related subjects (advantageous)

Pay

£31,342 – £37,394 per annum (pro rata).

Schedule

• Part-time: 0.7 FTE (24.5 hours per week)
• Fixed-term: 1 September 2015 to 15 June 2018
