About the role

Responsible for overseeing the mechanical design engineering team, ensuring product development meets company standards and customer expectations. Managing projects from concept to production, leading cross-functional teams, and driving innovation in mechanical design.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the mechanical design engineering team, setting strategic direction and managing day-to-day operations.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring successful completion of mechanical design projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality assurance, and sales to ensure seamless integration of mechanical designs into products.
• Lead innovation efforts in mechanical design, exploring new materials, technologies, and processes to enhance product performance and reduce costs.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to mechanical design.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and external partners to support mechanical design needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in mechanical design engineering, with at least 5 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex mechanical design projects from concept to production.
• Strong leadership skills, ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience with CAD software and mechanical design tools.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to mechanical design.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field preferred.
