PAY RATE
PAY RATE: $18.60+ $4.20 SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL
Summary
Working the Weekend Evening Schedule, 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM Friday - Sunday.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reads job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirement; sets stops or guides to specified length as indicated by scale, rule, or template.
- Activates machine and observes machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunction.
- Inspects finish product to determine accuracy of machine operation.
- Performs minor machine maintenance such as oiling machines and making adjustments.
- Affords assistance to coworkers to set up machine, and to stack, mark, pack, and transport finished product.
- Reduces downtime by assuring these tasks are performed promptly.
- Complies with safety and GMP requirements.
Safety Statement Responsibility
Safeguard a culture of safe production and operations; follow all safety rules and procedures.
Actively participate in the safety program by: engaging in training activities to learn what constitutes a safety hazard; reporting safety concerns to the supervisor, submitting safety suggestions, and correct or report to the appropriate people when you see a workplace health or safety hazard, until it is resolved.
Assists with communicating safety information to new employees.
Qualifications
- Educational and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and six months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to write simple correspondence; ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to other employees of the organization.
- Mental Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and/or walk; ascend and/or descend stairs; use hands to finger, handle, and feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
- Specific Vision Abilities: Close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
