Job Developer
CASES is seeking an experienced, self-motivated, results-oriented Job Developer with expertise in employer engagement and job development for individuals who have legal system involvement. The ideal candidate will establish paid internships in the industrial/infrastructure and service industries and ensure job placements aligned with participants' career aspirations.
About the role
This is a full-time position based at 4 West 125th Street, New York, NY 10027, with travel throughout the city to employer partners as needed. The office is easily accessible by public transportation. Staff have flexibility to complete their workday from home or another suitable space, typically after reporting to the office and/or engaging in field or community-based work.
Responsibilities
- Identify and establish relationships with employers, internship sites, training partners, and workforce development agencies who are mission-aligned with CASES in the industrial, infrastructure, and service industries
- Maintain relationships with partners in the industrial, infrastructure, and service industries, engaging with them regularly to ensure their needs and expectations are met
- Facilitate placements in internships and credentialing cohorts
- Ensure both participants and employer partners have a good fit for job placements
- Build and maintain an employer job bank
- Collaborate with training instructors to ensure successful advancement of participants to internships, credential obtainment, and job placement
- Responsible for complete, accurate, and timely submission of all documentation, referrals, follow-ups, and verifications required for the program
- Work collaboratively with the team to coordinate and facilitate recruitment days, job fairs, and employment panels
- Other duties as needed or required
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency
- At least three (3) years of successful and relevant experience serving the population identified in the eligibility criteria, including but not limited to job development, employer engagement, recruitment, and targeted industry experience in the proposed sector
- Experience in sales, job development, social service, or employment and training programs
- Strong communication skills, professional demeanor, and organizational skills
- Passion for working with at-risk populations
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Strong ability to monitor multiple job placements, track participant progress, and maintain deadlines
- Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with employer partners

Pay
$65,000 per year
Schedule
Full-time, Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM with flexibility (35 hours per week).
