About the role

We are seeking an experienced Physician Assistant (PA-C) for a locum tenens assignment supporting both Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery in Pennsylvania. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative team with a diverse surgical case mix and a consistent weekday schedule.

Schedule

• Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week
• Shift starts at 7:00-7:30 AM and ends at 4:30 PM
• Minimum 2 weeks per month
• Approximately 20 patients per shift
• 1 in 4 weekend call rotation, Friday 5:00 PM – Monday 7:00 AM
• Weekend responsibilities primarily include rounding with no elective surgical cases

Responsibilities

• Assist with Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery services
• Perform Endoscopic Vein Harvesting (EVH)
• Perform surgical closure
• Assist with vascular surgical procedures

Team

Collaborate with:

• 2 Cardiothoracic Surgeons
• 3 Cardiothoracic Surgery APPs
• 2 Vascular Surgeons
• 3 Vascular Surgery APPs

Requirements

• Board Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C)
• Active Pennsylvania PA license (or willing to obtain)
• DEA registration
• BLS & ACLS certifications
• 5-6 years of Cardiothoracic Surgery experience
