About the role

Responsibilities
- Directly supervise, train, and coach students within community-based employment training sites.
- Work with students to achieve a level of accomplishment and productivity that allows for greater employment independence.
- Act as a liaison between the employer/community-based employment site and Devereux.
- Work with a team to assess skills and level of functioning/participation.
- Document progress and involvement of students.
- Provide information and input based on level of participation, functioning, and progress to goals.
Requirements
- Pay-rate: $18.50-$21.09/hr (based upon education and experience).

- Devereux Center for Autism Research and Education Services (CARES) is an educational program licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education that provides services to students, ages 5 to 21, diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities.
- CARES provides an environment that focuses on teaching each student based on his or her unique strengths and needs. Programming is focused on increasing independence for each student.
Qualifications
- Educational qualifications: Bachelors degree in education, psychology, social work, or related field preferred. High school diploma required.
- Experience: Two years experience working with adolescents and young adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and/or behavior disorders in a transition and employment setting preferred.
Skills
- Ability to work with individuals with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of clinical approaches to behavior management.
