Desired Experience
- Sales, retail, and/or jewelry experience
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Commitment to excellence, desire to grow, and ability to provide a refreshing shopping experience
- Goal-oriented, sales-driven, and passion to succeed
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Ability to pass a drug test
- Maintain confidentiality
- Accuracy and attention to detail
Responsibilities
- Model Customer 1st behavior; deliver and encourage excellent customer service
- Achieve personal targets that drive sales (e.g., credit applications and protection plan attachment rates)
- Promote Diamond Parties and special events with every customer
- Work with teammates toward store goals, creating a positive working atmosphere and supporting each other to combine individual strengths
- Foster life-long emotional connections with customers through clienteling
- Provide product knowledge, features, and benefits to customers when presenting merchandise
- Advise customers on quality, cuts, and value of jewelry and gems; assist in selecting mountings and settings
- Attend required monthly meetings
- Operate point of sale (POS) and process payments or obtain credit authorization
- Inspect and clean customers' jewelry
- Provide estimates for jewelry and watch repairs
- Perform watch battery replacements and watch band adjustments
- Follow receiving and processing procedures
- Display merchandise and promotional materials according to corporate merchandising plans
- Perform business opening and closing procedures as outlined in the Policy and Procedures Guide
- Perform basic housekeeping (e.g., vacuuming, cleaning displays, washing windows)
- Maintain safety and security by following Loss Prevention and Security policies
- Participate in the inventory process and complete case counts
- Maintain flexibility to work any shift, including weekends, holidays, and overtime
