JEFE DE COMPRAS

Purpose of the Position

Gather and manage the procurement process from negotiation to product/service delivery, ensuring proper supplier management and regional policy compliance to guarantee supply chain continuity and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Led, coordinated, and developed the purchasing team, promoting a safety, service, and positive work environment culture.
• Supervised and ensured the compliance of the procurement process (supplier search, negotiation, orders, contracts, delivery, and invoicing).
• Managed supplier relationships (SRM) and evaluated their performance.
• Controlled purchase spending aligned with budget and goals.
• Designed negotiation strategies (prices, terms, discounts).
• Maintained and promoted ethical reporting and record keeping of savings.
• Affirmed adequate service levels to internal clients.
• Complied and promoted occupational health and safety policies and systems (SG-SST and quality).

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Administration, or related field.
• Desirable specialization in procurement management.
• Minimum 5 years leading procurement areas.
• Intermediate proficiency in SAP, Excel, Office, and desirable Power BI.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and 14001 standards.
• Complete cycle of procurement and negotiation experience.
• Supplier relationship management (SRM) and indicator analysis experience (OTIF, savings, stockouts, price variation).
• Leadership, change management, continuous improvement, and problem-solving skills.
• Intermediate-level English proficiency.
