Java Technical Architect

About the role

We are seeking a Java Technical Architect with strong exposure to AI-assisted software engineering and enterprise-grade AI solutions. This is a 1-year onsite position based in Charlotte, NC or Jersey City, NJ.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable microservices-based architectures and distributed systems.
• Develop and integrate event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka and messaging platforms.
• Lead application modernization and upgrade initiatives for Java, Spring Boot, Tomcat, frameworks, and third-party dependencies.
• Automate development, testing, deployment, CI/CD pipelines, and operational processes.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Devin, MCP) to enhance engineering productivity.
• Design, develop, and deploy enterprise-grade AI Agents/Agentic AI solutions using frameworks like Copilot Studio, LangChain/LangGraph, or Google ADK.
• Provide technical leadership, mentor engineering teams, and collaborate with business and technology stakeholders.

Requirements

• 12+ years of hands-on experience in Java technologies, including Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and enterprise application development.
• Extensive experience with microservices and distributed systems.
• Strong hands-on experience with event-driven integration patterns.
• Proven track record in application modernization and upgrades.
• Experience automating CI/CD pipelines and operational processes.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted software engineering tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Devin, MCP).
• Exposure to designing and deploying AI Agents/Agentic AI solutions in production.
• Familiarity with low-code platforms such as Microsoft Power Apps/Power Platform.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Python.
• Cloud platforms (Azure).
• Kubernetes and DevSecOps practices.
• Background in Banking/Financial Services domain.
