Java Spring Software Developer

About the role

The role involves diving deep into developing, sustaining, and troubleshooting GHOSTGEM's software suite of applications including JEDIPOWER and potentially exciting new projects as demands evolve. You will work with cutting-edge systems, including containerization tools, novel algorithm development, manipulation of large data sets, real-time systems, and more.

Responsibilities

• Develop, sustain, and troubleshoot GHOSTGEM's software suite of applications including JEDIPOWER and potentially new projects.
• Work with cutting-edge systems, including containerization tools, novel algorithm development, manipulation of large data sets, real-time systems, and more.
• Collaborate with an array of commercial and open-source tools, packages, and libraries.
• Contribute to the seamless melding of technologies through integration.
• Shape the future of software development within the defense sector.

Requirements

• Experience using the Linux CLI
• Scripting using Bash/Python
• Developing with Java in a Linux environment
• Experience with the Spring Framework including Spring Boot, Spring Data, and Spring Integration
• Experience with NoSQL databases including MongoDB
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and containerd
• Experience with Source Control Systems such as Git
• Familiarity with Apache NiFi canvas to process and distribute data
• Familiarity with Messaging Frameworks such as RabbitMQ and Kafka
• Familiarity with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools such as GitLab CI and Jenkins

Desired Skills

• Familiar with container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes
• Familiar with IaC principles, concepts, and tools including Ansible
• Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite including Jira and Confluence
• A good sense of humor and fondness for light-hearted exchanges

Qualifications

• (3-9) years’ experience, multiple positions
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
