Java Software Engineer Level 4
About the role
The new Software Engineer will be on an Agile team supporting two programs with a singular baseline. They will be working in the office executing 2-week Sprints for 3-month increment deliveries. Their focus will be to troubleshoot production issues, perform performance tuning, and refactor legacy components.

Requirements
- Level 4: Bachelor’s degree in science with 8+ years of software development experience; 6+ years with a Master's; or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
- Requires an active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility at time of application.
- Experience working with RESTful APIs and microservices.
- 5+ years professional Java development experience.
- Firm understanding of version control using Git and workflows on platforms such as GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.
- Demonstrated success with Agile processes.
- Strong grasp of object-oriented design, design patterns, and SOLID principles.
Qualifications
- CompTIA Security+ Certification (preferred)
- Experience with Linux (preferred)
- Familiarity with CI/CD concepts (preferred)
- Familiarity with Docker containers (preferred)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (preferred)
Benefits
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
Pay
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
