Java SDET (Selenium) - Bloomington, IL (Hybrid)
About the role
Design, develop, and execute automation test scripts using Selenium WebDriver with Java. Build and maintain robust automation frameworks, including Page Object Model, Data-Driven, and Hybrid approaches. Automate regression, smoke, sanity, and functional test suites for web applications. Collaborate with Business Analysts and Developers to translate requirements into test cases. Perform defect identification, logging, tracking, and retesting using tools like JIRA, ALM. Integrate automation execution with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git, Maven, TestNG, and JUnit. Execute API and backend validation using REST services and basic SQL queries where required. Participate in Agile ceremonies including daily standups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives. Analyze automation results and prepare test execution and quality reports. Continuously improve test coverage, script reusability, and execution efficiency.

Requirements
Experience with Selenium WebDriver with Java. Knowledge of Page Object Model, Data-Driven, and Hybrid approaches. Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, Git, Maven, TestNG, and JUnit. Familiarity with REST services and basic SQL queries. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work collaboratively in an Agile environment. Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Qualifications
BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. Minimum 2 years of experience in software testing, preferably with automation. Proficiency in Java and automation testing tools. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Agile methodologies. Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC).
