Java/Python/Rust Software Developer

About the role

The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-wide Tools and Services to support the agency's collaboration and productivity suite of products. You will work on a cross-functional team including software developers, system administrators, project managers, and mission customers.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-wide Tools and Services to support the agency's collaboration and productivity suite of products.
• Deliver seamless integrations that elevate productivity and streamline the mission to drive excellence.
• Work with cutting-edge systems such as containerization tools, novel algorithm development, manipulation of large data sets, real-time systems, business management information systems, and systems incorporating data repositories, data transport services, and application and systems development and monitoring.

Requirements

• Experience using the Linux CLI
• Experience developing with Java, Python, or Rust in a Linux environment
• Experience developing with Bash/Python/Groovy scripts to automate administrative tasks and workflows
• Experience with IaC principles and automation tools like Ansible, Salt, Puppet
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD technologies

Desired Skills

• Experience with sustaining mission applications deployed in a Linux environment
• Experience with communicating and interacting with external customers

Qualifications

• (5) years' experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
