About the role
In the assigned Job Role of Technology Consultant 2, your Area Of Responsibility will include:
- Contributing to the requirements elicitation process by documenting assigned parts of business requirements, in line with guidance provided
- Facilitating software application design discussions and documenting design decisions to guide the technical team towards building software solutions
- Participating in coding and integrating new features or updates into existing applications, with a focus on maintaining system stability
- Conducting code reviews, making changes to the codebase, and maintaining code repositories
- Implementing test strategies, analyzing results, and coordinating bug fixes to uphold software quality standards
- Developing user training programs, documentation, and support frameworks to ensure a smooth transition to new software applications
- Actively participating in resolving production issues and recommending preventive strategies to enhance system reliability
- Maintaining detailed records of code, testing techniques, and support activities to enrich the knowledge base and assist other similar projects

Required Skills and Experience
- Strong development experience in Java, Spring/Spring Boot, Microservices, Kafka, MongoDB, React JS
- Strong hands-on development skills in Java/JEE technologies, Spring Boot, Microservices
- Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, REST APIs
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Ability to perform gap analysis on requirements and functional specifications and review with the project management team
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies; experience working with Scrum teams is an added advantage
- Ability to perform CI/CD tasks and mentor others on the same
- Strong analytical skills and ability to multitask in a results-driven environment
- Ability to work closely with US and India teams on business requirements and initiatives
- Technical developer role (coding, code reviews, internal testing sign-off, etc.) for deliverables from WFI
- Technical point of contact for all technical issues for the assigned module; analyze, investigate, and resolve open issues, vulnerabilities, secure coding, etc.
- Provide technical expertise to support teams during incident/problem resolution
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or equivalent
- Primary skills: Java, Spring, Microservices design/development, APIs
- Strong hands-on experience in distributed systems web development across Java/JEE, web services (SOAP/REST)
- Strong hands-on experience in cloud development, microservices, CI/CD
- Experience designing solutions for both functional and non-functional requirements
- High level of competency in software design and software engineering implementation
- Well-versed with common design patterns
- XML web services experience
- Experience developing software that interacts with Oracle and other databases
- Proven ability to effectively deliver results as required
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to operate independently under strict timelines
- High level of cultural awareness
- Ability to train system users
Additional Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution; three years of progressive experience in the specialty may be considered in lieu of every year of education
