Java Developer

About the role

A Software Development Engineer designs, develops, tests, installs, and maintains systems, applications, networks, and/or telecom and related processes to meet the functional objectives of the business.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and implement new advanced technologies.
• Ensures adherence to established technology standards.
• Supports existing systems and is responsible for leading technical aspects of a project.
• Assigns resources and delegates tasks to meet project deliverables.
• Proficient in scanning tools used here: Sonatype, Fortify, & Web Inspect.
• Familiar with AZDO or other agile ticketing systems.
• Runs each scan for all of our applications.
• Reviews scan results and makes the required code changes as needed.
• Supports the team with their own scans and helps them resolve items as needed.
• Communicates the state of our application vulnerability scans to the security team.
• Prepares tickets and fixes for delivery based on the communication with the security team.
• Helps develop and unit test on other projects due to strong Java skills.

Requirements

• Proficiency in scanning tools: Sonatype, Fortify, & Web Inspect.
• Familiarity with AZDO or other agile ticketing systems.
• Strong Java skills.

• Pay Rate Range: $50-70/hr
