Java backend with AI

About the role

Java backend with AI position located in Austin (W2).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop highly available, distributed and scalable enterprise systems.
• Work with SpringBoot, Redis, MongoDB, Kafka, and microservices architecture.
• Manage AWS deployments, scaling, and EKS cluster management.
• Follow GIT, PR process, CI/CD pipelines and deployments.
• Develop high throughput, high performance, zero‑downtime systems.
• Perform performance tuning including JVM tuning, memory profiling, deadlock detection, and heap analysis.
• Build customer‑facing web applications, applying HTTP specs, load‑balancing, and CDN concepts.
• Write tests using JUnit and TestNG; apply automated testing methodologies and frameworks.
• Use template‑driven rendering and client/server‑side MVC architectures.
• Leverage Splunk for system investigation and monitoring.
• Apply thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle, tools, and agile methodologies.
• Provide sharp troubleshooting skills and real‑world systems deployment experience.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience with Java.
• 5+ years of experience with MongoDB.
• Hands‑on experience with AI tools such as RooCode and Claude.
