Java Backend Sr - Miami

About the role

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance Java backend systems using Spring Boot. They will also be involved in cloud architecture design and deployment on AWS.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable Java backend systems using Spring Boot
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including frontend developers, database administrators, and product managers
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of the codebase
• Deploy and maintain cloud-based applications on AWS
• Ensure security and performance standards are met

Requirements

• At least 8 years of experience as a Senior Java Developer with Spring Boot
• Experience designing and deploying cloud architectures on AWS
• Hands-on experience with LLM integration (function calling, structured outputs) or building autonomous/agentic workflows
• Experience working in a fast-paced, agile development environment
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science or related field
• Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and AWS
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
